IUMAS and MAS will hold concurrent workshops on Monday, June 12, 2023 and a small added fee. The fee will include two breaks and lunch!

MAS - $150/person - Open-Source Data Analysis Workshop

MAS is pleased to sponsor a topical workshop on Open-source software tools for microanalysis, taking place as part of IUMAS-8: The 8th Meeting of the International Union of Microbeam Analysis Societies in Banff, Alberta. This workshop will be highly interactive and aims to provide attendees with the skills necessary to feel comfortable running their own analyses using the various software packages and methods presented. IUMAS - $165/person - Advances in Analysis of Minerals/Microfluorescence Imaging

This full day workshop consists of two components. The first part of the workshop aims to cover the theory and practical aspects of microanalysis of complex materials where quantification is challenging due to the sensitivity of the samples to the electron beam interaction.  The second part of the workshop covers the application of state-of-the-art microfluorescence imaging carried out within scanning electron microscopes, the comparison with EDS imaging in SEM, and the use of synchrotron light sources for macro-micro-nano scale imaging of a broad range of materials. Banquet Dinner - $100/person

A banquet dinner will be held the evening of Wednesday, June 14, 2022 to celebrate the workshop, speakers, attendees, and award winners. Please not the banquet is currently full, but a spot can be held on the waitlist.
